The European Museum of Bread was founded in 2005, exhibiting with love and passion the fruits of a long-lasting collective work.

An old mansion in Varnavas was transformed into the Artos Museum and hosts over 3000 embroidered bread items with decorations from Greece and 40 countries abroad.

Through activities for the world but especially for children, the aim of the Museum is to introduce them to the cycle of bread from sowing, kneading, until it reaches the table and the countless embroidered bread designs that record a centuries-long journey for the most precious commodity of every home, bread. The embroidered designs vary from region to region, and in some cases even each family had its own embroidery. There were special embroideries, depending on the occasion, for example at weddings or major religious festivals.

The exhibits of the European Art Museum in Varnavas, Attica, Municipality of Marathon, constitute the largest collection of embroidered and religious bread in Europe. The 3000 different exhibits cover the entire Greek territory as well as forty foreign countries and are constantly enriched and growing. The collection is innovative in terms of designs, sizes and shapes.

In this museum, too, our company's Flexible Mannequins were used, which with their flexibility were able to give a realistic dioramas of the traditional family to the visitors.
